Welcome to the Township of Spallumcheen’s Economic Development department! Our community is one in which the private sector thrives, citizens relish in the tranquil lifestyle, and tourists come to embark on new and unique experiences.
Our community continues to take a leadership role in providing opportunity for sustainable growth and development for our Region through citizen and investment attraction efforts. Whether it’s leading the development of the multi- million-dollar North Okanagan wastewater recovery facility to better service our residences and businesses or our award winning efforts of working with our business community to address their needs or capturing new opportunities, our community continues to evolve and redefine ourselves as a destination of choice for businesses and citizens alike.

Our community grew its roots from the agriculture sector. This industry is still thriving and remains an economic driver, especially as more opportunities for agribusiness have proven to be fruitful. The region has also become very diversified, as manufacturing and industrial businesses in particular have risen as strong economic drivers for our area, so too has tourism.
With access to a diversified workforce throughout the Region that continues to adapt to the opportunities of today, we are well-versed and experienced in agriculture and manufacturing, thus providing access to an abundance of labour, skills, and knowledge in the Region.
Our Town and citizens have a long history of not only embracing its industry but celebrating it. The Township has struck the perfect balance of industry and quality of life through the commitment to the three primary industries of agricultural/ranching, manufacturing, and tourism.
