People in the southern portion of Spallumcheen may notice more activity next week at the North Okanagan Wastewater Recovery Project (NOWRP) site on L&A Cross Road, as crews continue preparing the site for construction.
Drivers and residents are asked to watch for trucks entering and leaving the site. There may also be flaggers directing traffic nearby from time to time, as required. Please slow down and follow flaggers’ instructions.
More information on construction timelines, and what residents can expect in the months ahead, will be shared soon.

The North Okanagan Wastewater Recovery Project will help protect water quality in Swan Lake and provide a reliable source of water for irrigation, especially during dry summer months and periods of drought.
About the North Okanagan Wastewater Recovery Project
The North Okanagan Wastewater Recovery Project is a partnership between the Regional District of North Okanagan, the Township of Spallumcheen, and the Okanagan Indian Band, launched in 2015 to improve water quality in Swan Lake and local streams, provide irrigation benefit for agriculture and create economic development opportunities through a community sewer system. The project will serve residents and businesses in portions of RDNO Electoral Areas B and C and portions of the Township of Spallumcheen’s southeast area, with the ability to extend service to parts of OKIB IR#4 in the future.
