Required ID and Eligibility Requirements
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS AND ACCEPTABLE FORMS OF ID
All voters must prove their identity and address before voting.
An elector must provide two pieces of identification:
At least one piece must show the elector's current residential address.
At least one piece must contain the elector's signature.
Acceptable Government-issued identification is as follows:
BC Driver's Licence
BC Identification Card (BCID)
Photo BC Services Card
Non-photo BC Services Card
BC CareCard or BC Gold CareCard
Certificate of Indian Status
First Nation citizenship or membership card
Métis Nation British Columbia citizenship card
Canadian Citizenship Card
Social Insurance Number (SIN) card or SIN confirmation letter
Financial Identification:
Credit Card (with Signature)
Debit Card (with Signature)
Property & Vehicle Documents:
Real Property Tax Notice
ICBC Owner’s Certificate of Insurance & Vehicle License
Utility Bills:
Electricity bill
Natural gas bill
Water bill
Telephone bill
Cable services bill

Note: If neither piece of identification contains a residential address, the elector may make a solemn declaration as to their place of residence.
