BUSINESS LICENSING

A business license is required when a business is conducted within the Township of Spallumcheen. The issuance of a business license is dependent upon compliance with the Township of Spallumcheen Zoning Bylaw and Business License Bylaw.

Residential premises holding no more than four (4) garage sales or agricultural producers who are not involved in retail sales are exempt from the business licensing program.

The application forms can be obtained online (see below) or from the Municipal Office. The forms must be completed in full and returned to the Municipal Office with the application fee of $100, payable by cash, debit or cheque to the Township of Spallumcheen.

Depending on the nature of the business approvals from the Business License Inspector, Fire Inspector, Building Inspector or Interior Health may be necessary prior to approval of the business license. Additional fees may be required.

The Mobile Business License was designed to simplify business licensing and reduce costs for businesses within the Okanagan Valley. Businesses that are conducting operation in more than one (1) community (with only one (1) fixed location) may now purchase a Mobile Business License for an annual fee of $150.
